The value of catch from Icelandic vessels in November 2017 was 9.8 billion ISK which is 3.5% less than in November 2016. Demersal catch value was 8.2 billion ISK, which is 7.4% more than in November 2016. Of the demersal species the value of cod was just over 5.2 billion ISK which is 3.4% less than in the same month a year earlier. The value of pelagic catch was 1 billion ISK compared with 1.9 billion in November 2016, a decrease of 45%. Value of flatfish was nearly 454 million ISK which is 13.1% less than in November 2016. The value of shellfish decreased by 7.2%, was 84 million ISK compared with 91 million in November 2016.
Total value of catch in the 12 month period from December 2016 to November 2017 was nearly 109.1 billion ISK which is a 19% decrease compared with the same period a year earlier.
