The value of catch by Icelandic vessels was 5.8 billion ISK in February 2017 which is 53.6% less than in February 2016. The main reason for low value of catch is the strike by Icelandic sailors which lasted until 19th of February.
Total value of catch in the 12 month period from March 2016 to February 2017 was about 29 billion ISK less than during the previous 12 month period, which amounts to 19.4% reduction in total value.
