New registrations of private limited companies increased by 11% over the last 12 months, from December 2014 to November 2015, compared to the prior 12 months. There were 2,272 new registrations during that period. The highest increase of new registrations was in Real estate activities, 52% increase over a 12 month period. Also, it is worth noting an increase in registrations in Accommodation and food service activities (29%) and Manufacturing (25%). Proportionately, the greatest decrease in new registrations over the last 12 months was 12% in Transportation and storage.
Corporate insolvencies decreased by 24% over the last 12 months, from December 2014 to November 2015, compared to the prior 12 months. There were 611 corporate insolvencies during that period. The greatest decrease of insolvencies was in Financial and insurance activities, 40%, while both Transportation and storage and Professional, scientific and technical activities have seen a 35% decrease in insolvencies over the last 12 months. The only section where there was an increase in insolvencies over the last 12 months was Real estate activities, where insolvencies increased by 8% compared with the prior 12 months.
