There were 153 new registrations of private limited companies in July 2016. New registrations increased by 18% over the last 12 months, from August 2015 to July 2016, compared to the prior 12 months. There were 2,610 new registrations during the period, compared with 2,219 in the previous 12 months. The greatest proportional increase in new registrations was in Administrative and support service activities, from 166 to 236, or a 42% increase from the previous 12 months. Also of note is an increase in registrations from 291 to 408 in Real estate activities (40%), and an increase from 43 to 57 in Transportation and storage (33%). Proportionately, the greatest decrease in new registrations during the period was 4% in Professional, scientific and technical activities (from 228 to 218).

There were 43 corporate insolvencies registered in July 2016. Corporate insolvencies increased by 19% over the last 12 months, from August 2015 to July 2016, compared to the prior 12 months. There were 863 corporate insolvencies during the period, compared with 724 in the previous 12 months. The greatest proportional increase in insolvencies during the period was from 122 to 183 in Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (50%). The greatest proportional decrease of insolvencies was from 88 to 77 in Real estate activities (13%).
