According to preliminary figures for May 2016, the value of exported goods amounted to ISK 46,300 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 61,300 million fob. Thus, there was a deficit of ISK 15,000 million in May, calculated on fob value.
Note that an estimation for fuels purchased abroad by Icelandic ships and aircraft is now included in the preliminary figures.
