According to preliminary figures for March 2011 the value of exported goods amounted to ISK 51,300 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 44,800 million fob. Thus, there was a trade surplus of almost ISK 6,500 million in March 2011, according to the preliminary figures, calculated on fob value.
