According to preliminary figures for January 2008 the value of exported goods amounted to ISK 24,400 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 34,200 million fob. Thus there was a trade deficit of ISK 9,800 million in January 2008, according to the preliminary figures, calculated on fob value.
