According to preliminary figures for March 2008 the value of exported goods amounted to almost ISK 31,200 million fob and the value of imported goods amounted to ISK 36,400 million fob. Thus, there was a trade deficit of ISK 5,300 million in March 2008, according to the preliminary figures, calculated on fob value. There is an indication of increase in the exports of aluminium in March, in comparison to the previous months of the year.
