Export of services for the second quarter of 2013, according to preliminary figures, was 103,971 million ISK and the import of services 83,908 million ISK. Therefore, the services trade surplus in the second quarter of 2013 was 20,063 million ISK but the surplus in the second quarter of 2012 was 6,636 million ISK at current exchange rates.
Transport was the largest category within export of services and the surplus of transport was 23,651 million ISK. Other services, excluding transport and travel, was the largest category within imports of services and the deficit of other services was 9,911 million ISK. The surplus of travel services was 6,323 million ISK.
