Total export revenues of trade in services for the third quarter of 2017, according to preliminary figures, were 225,243 million ISK and the import expenditure of services 107,740 million ISK. Therefore, the services trade surplus in the third quarter of 2017 was 117,503 million ISK. The surplus in the third quarter of 2016 was 122,740 million ISK at current exchange rates. The services trade surplus for the first three quarters of 2017 was 220,422 million ISK, according to preliminary figures. The surplus was 215,986 billion ISK, at current exchange rates, for the same period in 2016.
Travel is the largest category within import and export of services and had the largest surplus, 74,869 million ISK. Surplus of transport services was 63,054 million ISK. Other business services had the largest deficit of 15,232 million ISK.
