Catch of Icelandic vessels in June 2020 was about 62 thousand tonnes which is nearly double the catch of June 2019. The total catch of demersal species was 23% higher than in June last year. Pelagic catch was 22.3 thousand tonnes, while no pelagic species were caught in June 2019.
Total catch in the 12 month period from July 2019 to June 2020 amounted to 999 thousand tonnes which is 7% less than in the same period one year earlier.
The value index of catch in June 2020 is 38.2% higher than in June 2019.
