The Icelandic catch amounted to 46 thousand tonnes in June 2025, which is 65% more than in June 2024. Demersal catch increased by 7% between years and was 28 thousand tonnes, while pelagic catch was 15.6 thousand tonnes, but was zero in June 2024.
During the twelve-month period from July 2024 to June 2025, the total catch was 972 thousand tonnes compared with 1,080 thousand tonnes one year earlier which is a 10% decrease.
