Icelandic vessels landed just over 87 thousand tonnes in May, 14% less than in May 2023. Demersal catch was 19% more than in May last year and pelagic catch 37% less.
In the 12 month period from June 2023 to May 2024 the catch was just over 1.08 million tonnes which is a 25% decrease from the previous 12 month period. This is due to no capelin catch.
