The total fish catch in October 2022 was about 129 thousand tonnes according to preliminary data, which is 8.5% more than in October 2021. Demersal catch was 22 thousand tonnes and pelagic catch was 90 thousand tonnes.
In the 12 months period from November 2021 to October 2022 the total catch was about 1.5 million tonnes which is 42% more than in the same period one year earlier. Pelagic catch was just over one million tonnes and demersal catch was 440 thousand tonnes.
