NEWS RELEASE FISHERIES 16 OCTOBER 2014

The total catch of Icelandic vessels was 99 thousand tonnes in September 2014 which is a decrease of 14.8% compared to September 2013. During a 12 month period from October 2013 to September 2014 the total catch was 1063 tonnes which is a 22.9% decrease when compared to the same period one year earlier. At constant price the September catch was 20,6% lower than in the same month 2013 and the fixed price rate between the period October 2013 to September 2014 is 8.9% lower than for the same time period one year earlier.
