Total catch of Icelandic vessels in July 2013 was 101,444 tonnes compared to 113,051 tonnes in July 2012. Demersal species accounted for 27 thousand tonnes, thereof cod 13 thousand tonnes, haddock 1,700 tonnes, redfish 4 thousand tonnes and saithe 5 thousand tonnes. The pelagic catch was 70,900 tonnes, thereof herring 8,900 tonnes and mackerel 61,800 tonnes.
At constant prices the volume of the catch increased by 0.8% in July 2013 compared with July 2012.
