The total value of catch from Icelandic fishing vessels in June was 7.7 billion ISK, 1.1% more than in June 2018. Demersal catch value was nearly 6.3 billion ISK, an increase of 8.3%. The value of cod was 3.8 billion ISK, an increase of 6.1 compared with June 2018. Value of flatfish was just over 1.2 billion ISK, a decrease of 8.2% compared with last year. Shellfish catch was 220 million, a 24% decrease compared with June 2018.
Total value of catch in the 12 month period from July 2018 to June 2019 was 136 billion ISK which is a 10.5% increase compared with the same period a year earlier.
