The value of catch from Icelandic vessels in June 2018 was 7.5 billion ISK, an increase of 4.2% compared with June 2017. Demersal catch value was 5.7 billion ISK, an increase of 5%. Value of flatfish was just over 1.3 billion ISK, an increase of 14.3% from June last year. Value of shellfish was just over 240 million ISK, 14.3% less than in June 2017.
Total value of catch in the 12 month period from July 2017 to June 2018 was 122 billion ISK which is an 8.4% increase compared with the same period a year earlier.
