The value of catch from Icelandic vessels in March 2018 was 13.8 billion ISK. Demersal catch value was 9.7 billion ISK, of which the value of cod was just over 6.4 billion ISK. The value of pelagic catch was 3.2 billion, mostly capelin. Value of flatfish was nearly 820 million ISK and the value of shellfish was 116 million ISK.
Total value of catch in the 12 month period from April 2017 to March 2018 was just over 119 billion ISK which is a 0.1% decrease compared with the same period a year earlier.
