NEWS RELEASE INDUSTRY 20 JANUARY 2006

The Building Cost Index compiled in the middle of January 2006 stood at 235.2 points (June 1987=100) and is 2,68% higher than in the previous month. The index applies to February.

The rise in the index is for most part explained by contractual increase in wages in the building industry. The average wage increase in the BCI is 4.4% (effect on the index 1.8%).

In the last twelve months the BCI has risen by 3,8%.
