NEWS RELEASE INDUSTRY 20 DECEMBER 2011

The building cost index compiled in the middle of December 2011 is 112.3 points (December 2009=100), 0.6% higher than in the previous month. Prices of domestic materials increased by 0.8% (effect on the index 0.3%) while prices of imported materials rose by 0.2% (0.1%). Labour cost rose by 0.7% (0.2%), mostly due to December supplements in labour contracts, and cost of machine work, transportation and energy increased by 0.8%. The index applies to January 2012.

In the last twelve months the BCI has increased by 11.4%.
