The building cost index compiled in the middle of May 2019 is 145.8 points (December 2009=100), 2.2% higher than in the previous month. Prices of labour cost increased by 5.4% (effect on the index 1.8%) following an amendment to wage contracts for craftspeople and labour workers in construction. Prices of domestic materials increased by 0.7% (effect on the index 0.3%). Prices of imported materials increased by 0.5% (effect on the index 0.1%). In the last twelve months the building cost index has increased by 4.8%. The index applies to June 2019.
