NEWS RELEASE INDUSTRY 20 APRIL 2016

The building cost index compiled in the middle of April 2016 is 130.8 points (December 2009=100), 1.9% higher than in the previous month. The index applies to May 2016.

Prices of imported materials increased by 0.3% (effect on the index 0.1%) from last month while prices of labour cost increased by 5.7% (1.8%) following an amendment to wage contracts for craftspeople and labour workers in construction.

Over the last twelve months the building cost index has increased by 6.2%.
