Users of official statistics generally find them of good quality according to the results of a user survey conducted by Statistics Iceland in February 2007. Almost all of the respondents or 98% obtained official statistics from the Statistics Iceland website or its publications. About 85% felt that it was easy to obtain statistics from the website. Price statistics were the most frequently used with 24% of repondents using them at least once a week.

The user survey was based on a harmonised questionnaire by Eurostat and conducted in connection with the peer review of Statistics Iceland by Eurostat. Altogether 106 repondents returned the questionnaire resulting in 61% response rate.
