Statistics Iceland has published the working paper "Methods of statistical disclosure control for aggregate data. With a case study on the new Icelandic geospatial system of statistical output areas".
The goal of the present paper is to explain and test the main statistical disclosure methods and their R-implementations for aggregate data protection. These methods are applied to a 2011 census dataset enriched with the geographical attributes of newly built small output areas of a high resolution Icelandic geography. Several measures of risk versus utility are examined in order to evaluate the performance of the methods.
