Prices of petrol and diesel oil rose by 3.5% (effect on the CPI 0.24%) and groceries by 1.3% (0.2%). Owner occupied housing cost rose by 1.5% (0.26%), thereof the effect of higher market prices of housing was 0.18% and of higher real interest rates 0.08%.
Summer sales have widely started and prices of clothing and footwear fell by 9.6% (-0.46%).
The CPI in July 2006 is 8.4% higher than in July 2005 while the CPI less housing cost is 6.6% higher than one year ago. The CPI rose by 3.1% over the last three months equivalent to an annual inflation rate of 13.0% (CPI less housing cost 12.2%).
The credit terms index in August 2006 is 263.1 points. The old credit terms index is 5,195 points in August 2006.
