The Consumer Price Index (CPI) based on prices in November 2025, is 658.2 points (May 1988=100), 0.48% lower than in the previous month. The CPI less housing cost is 523.4 points, 0.81% lower than in October 2025.
Prices of international flights decreased by 14.3% (effect on index -0.31%) and Furnishing, household equipment etc. decreased by 2.2% (-0.11%). Furthermore, Clothing and footwear decreased by 2.7% (-0.10%).
Cost of owner occupied housing (imputed rent) rose by 0.5% (0.10%).
It should be noted that the effects of November discount deals are more noticeable this year than the previous years. This is partly due to the fact that the discounts are often valid for a longer period than before.
The CPI is 3.7% higher in November 2025 than in November 2024 and the CPI less housing cost is 2.7% higher than one year ago.
The CPI compiled in the middle of November 2025, 658.2 points, is applicable for indexation purposes in January 2026.
November discount days have a noticeable effect on the index
Analysis of monthly changes in November for the last couple of years indicates that in certain groups the effects of November discount days are more than usual this year. In groups like clothing, shoes, furnishing etc. these discount days are a common cause.
