Summer sales have mostly come to an end causing an increase in prices of clothing and footwear by 3.4% (effect on the CPI 0.16%). Owner occupied housing cost rose by 0.5% (0.09%), thereof the effect of higher market prices of housing was 0.01% and of higher real interest rates 0.08%. Prices of furnitures and furnishing rose by 4.7% (0.11%).
Prices of petrol and diesel oil fell by 4.1% (-0.28%) and of groceries by 0.7% (-0.11%)
The CPI in October 2006 is 7.2% higher than in October 2005 while the CPI less housing cost is 5.6% higher than one year ago. The CPI rose by 1.2% over the last three months equivalent to an annual inflation rate of 4.8% (CPI less housing cost 4.3%).
The credit terms index in November 2006 is 266.2 points. The old credit terms index is 5.256 points in November 2006.
