NEWS RELEASE PRICES 29 OCTOBER 2018

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) based on prices in October 2018 is 459.4 points (May 1988=100), 0.57% higher than in the previous month. The CPI less housing cost is 392.8 points, 0.59% higher than in September 2018.

Prices of new cars rose by 2.6% (effect on the index 0.21%). Cost of owner occupied housing (imputed rent) rose by 0.6% (0.12%). Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 0.9% (0.10%). Collection of road toll fees has been discontinued (-0.13%).

The CPI is 2.8% higher in October 2018 than in October 2017 while the CPI less housing cost is 1.7% higher than one year ago.

The CPI compiled in the middle of October 2018, 459.4 points, is applicable for indexation purposes in December 2018. The old credit terms index for December is 9,071 points.
