The Consumer Price Index based on prices in March is 410.7 points (May 1988=100), 0.20% higher than in the previous month. The CPI less housing cost is 392.5 points, 0.15% higher than in February.
Prices of petrol and diesel oil decreased by 3.7% (effect on the index -0.22%). Winter sales have come to an end and prices of clothing and footwear rose by 2.6% (0.13%).
The CPI is 3.9% higher in March 2013 than in March 2012 and the CPI less housing cost is 4.4% higher than one year ago. Over the last three months, the CPI has increased by 2.1%, equivalent to an annual inflation rate of 8.7% (10.0% inflation for the CPI less housing cost).
The CPI compiled in the middle of March 2013, 410.7 points, is applicable for indexation purposes in May 2013. The old credit terms index for May 2013 is 8,109 points.
