The HICP average for member countries of the European Economic Area (EU-countries, Iceland and Norway) was 102.1 points (2005=100) in April, 0.7% higher than in March. At the same time, the HICP for Iceland was 102.7 points, 0.8% higher than in the previous month.
The 12-month rate of change of the HICP was 2.3% for the EEA, 2.4% for the Euro-zone and 3.3% for Iceland.
The highest inflation rates in the EEA in this twelve month period were 6.1% in Latvia, 4.4% in the Slovak Republic and 4.3% in Estonia. The lowest inflation rates were 1.2% in Poland and 1.5% in Finland.
