The producer price index increased by 22.4% from January 2006 to 2007. The PPI for power intensive industry products rose by 42.0%, the PPI for marine products by 28.6% and the PPI for food products increased by 7.1%.

In a new issue of the Statistical Series the development of the PPI since its first release in 2004 is described and changes in methodology, coverage and frequency of releases are outlined.
