The producer price index (PPI) in April 2007 is 121.3 points, 0.5% lower than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products is 126.4 points, 0.4% higher than in March (effect on the index 0.2%), and the PPI for power intensive industry products is 147.0 points, 3.6% lower than in the previous month (0.1%). The PPI for food products rose by 0.1% (0.0%) from March while the PPI for other manufactured products remained unchanged from the previous month.
The PPI for domestically sold products was 0.1% higher than in the previous month (0.1%) while the index for exported products declined 0.9% from March (-0.6%).
From April 2006, the PPI has risen by 3.9%. Over the last twelve months the PPI for fish products has increased by 6.7%, the PPI for power intensive industry products by 1.2% and the PPI for food products by 4.9%.
