The producer price index (PPI) in August 2015 was 211.6 points (4. quarter 2005 = 100), which is 2.1% lower than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 272.0 points which is 2.9% higher than in July 2015 (effect on the index -0.9%) and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 201.7 points, 4.3% lower than in the previous month (-1.4%). The PPI for food products increased by 1.2% (0.2%) and the PPI for other manufactured products stayed the same between months.
The PPI for domestically sold products was 0.8% (0.3%) higher than in the previous month while the index for exported products decreased by 3.4% (-2.4%).
Compared with August 2014, the PPI has increased by 1.5%. The PPI for fish products increased by 3.3% and the PPI for power intensive industry has decreased by 4.4%. The price of food products has increased by 2.7%.
