The producer price index (PPI) in February 2007 is 121.9 points, 3.1% lower than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products is 126.1 points, 3.5% (effect on the index -1.3%) lower than in January, and the PPI for power intensive industry is 151.9 points, 3.7% (-0.7%) lower than in the previous month. The PPI for food products increased by 0.7% (0.1%) from January while the PPI for other manufactured products is 4.8% (-1.2%) lower than in the previous month.
The PPI for domestically sold products is 0.2% (-0.1%) lower than in the previous month and the index for exported products declined 4.8% (-3.0%) from January. From January to February 2007 the average price of foreign currency decreased by 3.4%.
The PPI is 15.6% higher than in February 2006. In the last twelve months the PPI for fish products has increased by 23.1%, the PPI for power intensive industry products by 24.9% and the PPI for food products by 6.8%.
