The producer price index (PPI) in July 2007 was 115.5 points, 2.3% lower than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 119.7 points, unchanged from June, and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 134.0 points, 6.5% lower (-1.3%). The PPI for food products was 0.1% higher than in June (0.0%) while the PPI for other manufactured products declined 3.9% (-1.0%).
The PPI for domestically sold products was 1.1% lower than in the previous month (-0.4%) while the index for exported products declined 3.0% (-1.9%).
From July 2006, the PPI has decreased by 6.5%; the PPI for fish products fell by 6.8% and the PPI for power intensive industry products by 10.2%. The PPI for food products rose by 2.2% in the same period.
