The producer price index (PPI) in November 2007 was 117.0 points (4. quarter 2005 = 100), 1.0% higher than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 128.6 points which is 2.7% higher than in October (effect on the index 1.0%), and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 126.5 points, 2.3% higher (0.5%). The PPI for food products was 1.0% higher than in October (0.2%) while the PPI for other manufactured products decreased 2.4% (-0.6%).
The PPI for domestically sold products was 1.1% lower than in the previous month
(-0.4%) while the index for exported products increased 2.3% (1.4%).
From November 2006, the PPI has decreased 4.6%, the PPI for fish products has decreased 0.8% and the PPI for power intensive industry products has fallen 14.3%. The PPI for food products rose 5.2% in the same period.

In evaluating the price changes accounted for here, it may be taken into consideration that the trade-weighted average price of foreign exchange in November 2007 was 2.5% higher than in the preceding month and 2.3% lower than in November 2006.
