The producer price index (PPI) in October 2016 was 191.8 points (4. quarter 2005 = 100), which is 1.5% lower than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 244.7 points which is 1.0% lower than in September (effect on the index -0.3%) and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 166.3 points, 3.4% lower than in the previous month (-1.1%). The PPI for food products was 176.9 points and the index for other manufactured products was 172.2 points, decreased by 0.5% (-0.1%).
The PPI for domestically sold products was 0.4% lower than in the previous month (-0.1%) and the index for exported products decreased by 2.0% (-1.4%).
Compared with October 2015, the PPI has decreased by 5.8%. The PPI for fish products has decreased by 6.1% and the PPI for power intensive industry has decreased by 10.1%. The price of food products has increased by 1.9%.
