The producer price index (PPI) in September 2007 was 118.8 points, 1.8% lower than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 127.6 points which is 0.8% higher than in August (effect on the index 0.3%), and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 134.1 points, 8.3% lower (-1.7%). The PPI for food products was 0.9% higher than in August (0.2%) while the PPI for other manufactured products decreased 2.0% (-0.5%).
The PPI for domestically sold products was unchanged from the previous month while the index for exported products decreased 2.8% (-1.8%).
From September 2006, the PPI has decreased 1.6%, the PPI for fish products is unchanged and the PPI for power intensive industry products decreased 4.2%. The PPI for food products rose 3.3% in the same period.
