The producer price index (PPI) in December 2013 was 198.8 points (4. quarter 2005 = 100), 2.3% lower than in the previous month. The PPI for fish products was 249.5 points which is 2.4% lower than in November 2013 (effect on the index -0.9%) and the PPI for power intensive industry products was 190.2 points, 7.0% lower (-2.3%). The PPI for food products decreased by 0.3% (-0.1%) and the PPI for other manufactured products increased by 5.7% (1.0%).
The PPI for domestically sold products was 2.2% (0.5%) higher than in the previous month while the index for exported products decreased by 3.7% (-2.8%).
Compared to December 2012 the PPI has decreased by 7.1%. The PPI for fish products and the PPI for power intensive industry decreased by 7.5% and 15.8% respectively. In the same period the PPI for food products rose by 3.5%.
