Indicators on health perception in Iceland and other European countries are retrieved from the European survey of income and living conditions (EU-SILC) which provides comparable information between countries in the European Economic Area. Icelanders perceive their health as being relatively good, compared to others in Europe, with the proportion of people being in good health in Iceland ranking sixth among men and ninth among women in 2014. When looking at self-reported health by income quintiles, the proportion being in good health is higher among those in the higher quintiles among both sexes.
