Statistics Iceland began conducting regular labour force surveys (LFS), twice a year in April and November, in 1991. Since 2003 Statistics Iceland has con¬ducted a continuous LFS with quarterly results. The Icelandic LFS is part of the European LFS and based on international criterias and definitions.
