The CPI in October 2009 rose by 1.14% from the preceding month (rose by 1.09% less housing cost). Over the last 12 months the CPI rose by 9.7% (CPI less housing cost rose by 13.5%) while the change over the last 3 months is equivalent to an annual inflation of 10.2% (11.1% inflation less housing cost).
