The producer price index decreased by 3.1% from January 2007 to 2008. The PPI for power intensive industry products fell by 16.8% in the same period, the PPI for marine products rose by 3.4% and the PPI for food products increased by 4.3%. In 2007 the producer price index was for the first time published as a monthly index and the number of subindices was increased.
