The wage gap between men and women has narrowed in recent years, and this applies equally to income from work, the unadjusted wage gap and the adjusted wage gap. The gender division of the labour market largely explains the existing wage gap while the effect of education and demographic factors on the wage gap has decreased, especially in recent years. The publication is only in Icelandic.
